ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
I believe that healing begins when we feel deeply respected, heard and understood without fear of judgment.
My approach to therapy is built on values of compassion, empathy and acceptance. While I draw from an integrative range of therapeutic models, tailoring therapy based on your needs, the connection we build will be the foundation of our work. Genuine curiosity will help us explore the "why, how, when and where" of your experiences. This deep dive isn't just about understanding your past; its about uncovering how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours both help and hinder you in the present.
You are the main character in your healing journey and your voice will be acknowledged and validated throughout the therapeutic process. Along the way, I encourage you to offer open and honest feedback as this enables us to adapt our work together so it feels both effective, comfortable and manageable for you.
There is great power in authenticity and vulnerability. My goal is to help you recognize that allowing ourselves to feel is a part of being human. My hope is that through the work we do together, you'll cultivate a new relationship with your inner world; learning to be gentler with yourself and approaching your emotions and thoughts with compassion rather than criticism.
Building a trusting and authentic connection with each client means:
Being Present
I am fully present with you in each session, offering my undivided attention and genuine empathy
Listening to Understand
I listen to not only your words but also to the emotions and unspoken messages behind them
Holding Space
I provide a safe and supportive space for you to express your thoughts and emotions without judgment
Walking Alongside You
I see myself as a companion on your journey, walking alongside you with understanding, hope and compassion.
